Dear Scotties Driving School

I really enjoyed learning to drive with Scott. Prior to starting with him, I had tried two other driving schools however I could just never get along with driving itself, I felt too anxious and overwhelmed by it all. When driving with Scott, he managed to put me completely at ease, it became so much easier for me to not feel anxious, and instead to feel confident when on the road, due to how understanding and patient he was. I went from being anxious about driving, to looking forward to every lesson. The support, flexibility around my work, and materials I was given were all great help in ensuring I passed, and I would highly recommend Scotties to anybody learning to drive! I'm gutted I will no longer get to see Scott every week, he is a joy to be around and to learn alongside, but of course I am so glad I passed my test. Thank you for everything!!

I have been driving with Danny since Jan 2023 and it’s been an absolute pleasure. I felt comfortable from the get go and even though I’m quite a nervous person, he really put me at ease and we would have a laugh and a joke to try and calm me which really helped. As much as I’m excited to go out driving by myself, I will actually miss my friday morning lessons as I got so used to them and would look forward to it. As I had to wait quite a while for a test due to the current delays, we went over everything in great detail and would make sure everything was perfected which helped in the 0 fault pass. I would recommend Danny to anyone who’s looking to start driving or even just want to sharpen up your driving skills as he really is the best at what he does. I can’t thank him enough for putting up with me for over a year and getting me to where I am today. Thanks so much Danny!

I passed my driving test on the 31st October 22 after having Tony Hull as my driving instructor for 2/3 years. I would highly recommend Tony as even though covid when it was possible to learn to drive again he made sure everything was professional and clean. He is really consistent on teaching you the right things and reassuring you that you are doing things correctly and always heading you in the right direction. Although he is teaching you how to drive you can also have a good laugh with him which makes the whole experience so much more comfortable. On the day of my test Tony continuously reassured me that I am more then capable of passing my test and when I did pass he was over the moon for me.

Nicky has a unique ability to convey information and give instructions in a simple way that can be easily digested, in any situation. 
He was consistently calm, collected and positive throughout all of my lessons which made me feel at ease from start to finish. Over the months I learned to drive, Nicky was never late and didn't cancel a single lesson. I loved the way he supported my learning with various visual props and continuously gave feedback. As someone who had absolutely zero confidence and felt extremely uncomfortable with cars, I had no hope in ever being able to pass my driving test. I booked a 10 hours block with Scotties Driving School (recommended by a close friend) of which I was allotted 7.5 hours for driving lessons and 2.5 hours for the test day. I had a lot of difficulties getting comfortable with the road signs and rules as I had an experience of 10-15 years of driving experience in India. I had only been with Jason Sharett for less than 20 hours but I feel as if I had 60 hours of experience after I passed my test on 5th November 2018. I passed my first test with him with only three minors because of how well he instructed me. Barry Worton is a person with tremendous patience and he is a great motivator. I have been driving in my home country for the past 10 years now. Initially the first few lessons were very confusing, I never thought it would be so difficult to drive in the UK and there was a stage where I lost my confidence to drive but Barry made it so simple for me, in less than 20 lessons I was able to pass my test first time in Basildon on 19/01/2018 where the routes are filled with roundabouts, complicated roads and the passing rate of 36.9 % in the year 2016-2017. I passed my test first time yesterday (21/03/16). My driving instructor Dave was amazing. He taught me for over a year and I had no previous lessons with anyone else before. He was great at explaining everything to me and when I didn't feel confident he would always make me feel better and give me the best advice so that I would continue on until my test. Thank you to Scotties and Dave especially for the best learning experience in my life so far! I would highly recommend this driving company for any new learners.
